On the 13th heartbreak took over her at Lapema when we had to make the wrenching decision to say goodbye to our foundation girl Fibi (Multi BVIS / RBIS / RBVISS Gorkeane De Jungla Negars IMP ESP) after a short illness fought very valiantly by the proudest Malamute we have ever met. Fibi was a true ambassador for the breed & was not only as near perfect a specimen we have ever seen she had the most wonderful infectious personality – you couldn’t help but love Fibi she was such a character & very very talkative, ask any of the Judges who had ever judged her they were generally greeted by a massive woooo wooooo at the end of her individual movement much to our general embarassment & everyone else’s amusement!!! As our 1st Malamute Fibi has left a massive gapping hole on all our hearts & we cannot believe that we will never hear that trademark ‘woo’ or see her gorgeous face again, it is just too much to bear & we will be devastated for a very long time. We feel so lucky to have owned her - she was a real priviledge & a pleasure. Fantastic showgirl, mother, pet, companion, friend in fur & also most importantly our Rafa’s wife. In truth Fibi was like the Malamute Mary Poppins – practically perfect in every way. Run free to the bridge Her Royal Fibi-ness, be free from pain now, be safe in the knowledge that you will never be forgotten & we all adore you with all our hearts, sleep tight sweetheart & look after your girl GiGi xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It is with great sadness in our hearts that we lost our beautiful Rafa x Fibi daughter Gianna (Lapema Gianna De Royito) on the 5th at just turned 7 years old. GiGi was a fabulous girl with an outstanding temperament & such a character, a joy to live & work with. GiGi was loved immediately by all who had the pleasure of meeting her, her love of life was apparent at all times & it is a terrible lose to not only our kennels but also to the breed itself, a super ambassador who has left behind her so many happy memories but also terrible heartbreak for her family here at Lapema. Sleep tight GiGi always in our thoughts never to be forgotten xxx
