On the 18th we took Castiel, Cielo & Rio to Bridgwater Open show under judge Mrs Caroline Friend-Rees (Amical), Castiel won his class & took BEST OF BREED, Cielo was placed 3rd in her class & Rio was placed 2nd in her class, taking BEST PUPPY IN BREED & WORKING PUPPY GROUP 2 under group judge Mr Dave Weller.
On the 6th at Treharris Open show under judge Breed Specialist Mrs Debbie Prout, our homebred boy Castiel wins the Junior class & BEST PUPPY IN BREED, he then goes on to be awarded under judge Mr Tan Nagrecha WORKING PUPPY GROUP 1!!!!!!! Castiel's litter sister our own Cielo was also placed 2nd just behind her brother in Junior.

Carrying on a super month of results so far for Lapema, at Okehampton Open on the 13th under judge Mrs Pauline Luxmoore Ball, our homebred boy Castiel yet again wins his class, 1st in Graduate, then awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED but also is awarded BEST OF BREED!!! Castiel then goes on to some great group placings under Mr Simon Luxmoore by achieving WORKING PUPPY GROUP 3 & WORKING PUPPY GROUP 1!!!!!! Litter sister Castiel is also placed RES in the same class.

Lapema end October showing on the 25th at Midland Counties Champ show. Castiel, last time out in the showring in the puppy classes shes him win a very strong Puppy Dog class of 11 entries and be awarded Best Opposite Sex Puppy, narrowly missing out on his 7th Best Puppy In Breed. Our newest team member 'Rio' Justami Meoquanee Per Lapema, bred by Lou & Justen at Justami and from the first ever litter sired by our very own Rafa boy Torres, was placed 2nd in a massive Puppy Bitch class with the biggest entry on the day of 17! This saw Rio first time to hit the showring QUALIFY FOR CRUFTS 2013!!! Just behind Rio, placed in 3rd was 'Ava' who is litter sister to our own Castiel & Cielo who is owned by Lou & Justen Corkhill, bagging herself yet another Crufts qualiying spot. Rafa son Hunter, owned by Wayne & Simon is placed 3rd in his Post Grad class. It was so apparent today that even though our foundation male Rafa is retired he sure has left his paw print in the showring, 1st, 2nd & 3rd places today in puppy dog & 2nd & 3rd in puppy bitch were Rafa grandchildren, lovely to see for us. Well done all and as always gratitude to our judge on the day.

At the AMCUK Club Champ Show on the 29th Lapema saw from great results from both our own kennel & our extended fur family under well respected judges Mr Kari Jarvinen (Dogs) & Mr Rainer Vuorinen (Bitches). Firstly, our own homebred Castiel takes RES in a strong Puppy Dog class. Litter sisters to Castiel, Ava (owned by Lou & Justen Corkhill) & Lumen (owned by Eve Dunk) took 3rd & VHC in the Puppy Bitch class. Rafa son Hunter is placed VHC in Post Grad Dog handled as always by co-owner Wayne Davey. Kerry handled Linda & Seth Jermans Reina (Rafa x Fibi) to be placed 3rd in the biggest class on the day Open Bitch. Also out of the Open Bitch class we are very proud to announce that Shelby (Icewolf A Touch Of Class At Austmans) owned by Kimberly Jebson & sired by our very own foundation male Rafa, wins this massive class & also is awarded BITCH CC!!!!!!!!!! Shelby is the first Red Alaskan Malamute female to be awarded a CC - massive congratulations!! Excellent to see 2 Rafa daughters in the first 3 placings in this very strong class both numerically & quality. Some great placings taken on the day by Rafa grandchildren who had some class wins & qualifing placings across the dog & bitch judging.

An amazing day for Lapema on the 15th at Darlington Champ show under very well respected & well recognised judge Mr Frank Kane. Our baby boy 'Castiel' wins his very strong Puppy Dog class, challenges against the Minor Puppy winning dog to be win Best Puppy Dog and is ultimately awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED!!!

His litter sister, oue own 'Cielo' handled by Mike is placed 3rd in her Puppy Bitch class and Kerry also today handled their litter sister 'Lumen' owned by Eve Dunk to win her Puppy Bitch class, qualifying her first CRUFTS 2013 & challenge to be awarded BEST PUPPY BITCH! An amazing sight to see two litter siblings challenging for the Best Puppy In Breed award - what a litter - we are super proud to see 4 out of 5 puppies from this breeding be qualified for the biggest dog show in the world 'CRUFTS' - look out for the 'Podenzos' on the famous green carpet next year! A fabulous start to September at City Of Birmingham on the 1st under Breed Specialist Judge Mr John Phillips. Our baby boy Castiel wins a large Puppy Dog class then goes on to be awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED out of a huge total entry of 17 puppies across both the dog & bitch classes - the second BPIB in just 6 days for this boy. This currently makes Lapema Angel De Cambios (Ch Chayo All Eyes On Me 'Enzo' x Neskyla Star Sopra Lapema 'Senna') 'Castiel' JOINT TOP MALAMUTE PUPPY OVERALL & TOP MALE MALAMUTE PUPPY in the tables. Castiel's litter sister our very own 'Cielo' Lapema Angelo Di Ciel takes the RES spot in a very good Puppy Bitch class. Also today Wayne & Simon's Rafa boy Hunter is awarded VHC in PGD.
We start off the month very nicely at Paignton Champ Show on the 7th under Breed Specialist & President of the AMCUK Mr Keith Givens (Shomont). Firstly, our baby boy Castiel takes another Crufts qualifying place 3rd Puppy Dog then his litter sister Cielo wins her Puppy Bitch class. Rafa progeny Maisie was awarded RES in her PGB class & Hunter........in his PGD class. Reina, as always handled by Kerry on behalf of her owners Linda & Seth Jerman is placed RES OB.

On the 13th at Bournemouth Champ Show our babies Castiel & Cielo were awarded VHC & 2nd in their classes under judge Zenna Thorn Andrews. Rafa son Hunter won his PGD class & his daughter Maisie was awarded 3rd in PGB. Kerry also handled Lapema progeny Reina to be placed 2nd in a very strong Open Bitch class. Also on this day our Castiel & Cielo's sire Ch Chayo All Eyes On Me 'Enzo', bred, owned & handled by Ms Sue Ellis (Chayo) was awarded BOB, WG1 & ultimutely went on to be crowned BEST IN SHOW out of a huge entry of just under 7,000 dogs in total!!!

At WKC under judge Mr Rodney Oldham on the 18th Mike handled both our puppies to see him gain a very nice 3rd place in Puppy Dog with Castiel. Rafa progeny Maisie is placed VHC in PGB.
A great end to this month at Leicester City CS Open under Breed Specialist Judge Miss Charlotte John sees Castiel awarded 1st in Puppy, BEST PUPPY IN BREED & WORKING PUPPY GROUP 4 under Breed Specialist Mrs Chris John (Cristakell). Castiel's litter sisters our own Cielo, handled by Mike was placed 3rd in the same class & Lou & Justen Corkhill's Ava was placed RES.
At East Of England Champ show on the 8th team Lapema had some amazing results under judge Mary Deats. Firstly our own Castiel wins his Puppy Dog class then goes on to be awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED!!! This gives litter brother & sister a BPIB each at champ show level with CC's on offer. His litter sister Cielo is placed RES in Puppy Bitch, their dam Senna takes the 3rd place spot in a large Limit Bitch Class. Kerry then handled Reina (Rafa x Fibi) for Linda & Seth to be placed 2nd in Open Bitch, Reina then goes on to challenge & win the RESERVE BITCH CC!!! This is Reina's second RBCC. The dog CC & BOB today went to a Rafa grandson Icewolf Devil May Cry 'Dakota' who is the youngest Malamute to date to be awarded a CC in the UK. Great day for us & our extended family - congratulations everyone!

On the 10th it was time for our latest member of the team to start ringcraft. Rio entered her first 'competition' being the puppy walk & at 11wks, the youngest pup there she is placed 2nd out of 7 just behind a lovely Beagle pup of almost 6months. Good girl RiRi!!
At W&PBs Champ show on the 14th we braved the rain to acheive some lovely results under judge Mr Terry Monroe. Our boy Castiel won his Puppy Dog Class, his litter sister took the 3rd place spot in Puppy Bitch just behind Lou & Justen's litter sister to both, Ava (Lapema Angelo Di Amicizia) who was placed 2nd, this also qualified Ava for CRUFTS 2013!! So far a total of 3 out of 5 pups from this litter (Senna x Enzo Ch.Chayo All Eyes On Me) are qualified to attend the event of the year in any show person's diary - CRUFTS & to strut their stuff on the famous green carpet, we are very proud of this litter. Our Fabio, first time out in Limit Dog at the age of 18mths, was shortlisted in this the biggest class of the day. Kerry handled Reina to gain the VHC spot in a very strong Open Bitch class. Great to see Rafa offspring, litter sibling's Hunter & Spirit, being placed 2nd & RES in their classes. Again today Rafa grandson Max takes the top spot in Junior Dog. Well done to all some great results there.

Another day with great results for Lapema & extended family at Leeds Champ show on the 29th. We set off the day with our baby boy Castiel winning his Minor Puppy Dog class. In Post Graduate Dog our own Fabio is placed 3rd in the biggest male class of the day & his half brother Hunter, owned by Wayne & Simon was placed RES in the same class. Linda & Seths Lapema boy Malmo is placed 3rd in a good Open Dog class. Our baby girl Cielo gains 2nd & 3rd spots in her puppy classes. In Post Graduate Bitch Jane Brooks homebred Rafa daughter Spirit takes RES. Finally Kerry handled Linda & Seths Lapema girl (Rafa x Fibi daughter) to be placed 2nd in a very large strong Open Bitch class. Great results well done everyone.
Great day with some lovely results for Lapema at Border Union Champ Show under breed specialist Mrs Jill Broadberry (Hyteton). We started off the day seeing our baby boy Castiel qualifying for CRUFTS 2013 with a 2nd place in Puppy Dog, then our Rafa son Torres takes 3rd in Open Dog gaining his Stud Book Number & Lifetime CRUFTS Qualification!!!!! In Puppy Bitch our baby girl Cielo, sister to Castiel, wins the class & goes on to win BEST PUPPY IN BREED!!!!!!!!! Also today Kerry handled Reina to be placed 3rd in Open Bitch & Wayne & Simon's Rafa boy Hunter gains two second place spots in his classes.

At our last champ show for June, Windsor on the 28th, Castiel does it for the team & wins Minor Puppy Dog & also bags 3rd place in Puppy Dog. Our Cielo & Senna gained some good placings too in large classes. Kerry handled Reina to RES Open Bitch. An amazing day for Wayne & Simon with their Rafa son Hunter (Snobruk Spirit Of Fire) who wins his Yearling class gaining his final points needed for his JUNIOR WARRANT!!!!!!!!! Hunter is the first Rafa progeny to gain his JW title so really is a landmark to be remembered not only for Wayne, Simon & his breeders Jane & Craig Brook but also in Lapema history - Hunter is only the 12th Alaskan Malamute to be awarded this prestigous title - huge congrats!!!

10th May 'Great to also see litter sister's to our own Cielo & Castial being out at there first show, Lumen (Lapema Angelo Di Armonia) owned & handled by Eve Dunk took the RES place in Minor Puppy Bitch & Ava (Lapema Angelo Di Amicizia) owned by Lou & Justen Corkhill, handled by Lou was placed VHC in Minor Puppy Bitch - lovely to see all £ girls from the same litter in the cards!

The weather was definately not with us for the first champ show of a new month with horrendous rain for Southern Counties under USA judge Mr Ron Menacker. Despite the rain all seemed to be in good spirits & we took home some great placings. Our Cielo was placed RES in her Puppy Bitch class, her mother our Senna took the RES spot in the Limit Bitch class - the biggest class of the day & Kerry handled Linda & Seth's Fibi x Rafa girl Reina to be placed VHC in a very big & strong Open Bitch class. Also with some great places today were Rafa progeny Hunter owned by Wayne & Simon being placed VHC in both his classes & Ruby owned by Alan & Louise Burgess winning the Good Citizen Bitch class. Great to see Rafa grandchildren also taking some Crufts qualifying placings at todays show.

Another wet day was had at Three Counties Champ show on the 7th. We took some good placings on the day under judge Tegwyn Jones. Castiel took the RES spot in his Puppy Dog class, Torres was placed RES in Open Dog, Cielo was placed 3rd in Puppy Bitch with her sister Ava owned by Lou & Justen Corkhill taking RES in the same class, the pups dam our Senna was awarded 2nd place in Post Graduate bitch & Kerry handled Reina to be awarded RES in the Open Bitch class for Linda & Seth. Linda handled her boy sired by Rafa, Malmo to bag 2nd place in the Open Dog class. Great seeing Wayne & Simon's Hunter being placed 2nd & 3rd in his classes.
At Birmingham National under judge Steve Hall on the 11th we saw our newest female team member Cielo (Lapema Angelo Di Ciel) qualify for Crufts 2013 at her very first show taking 2nd place in her class!!!! Also today her mother Senna was placed VHC in a very strong Limit bitch class & our Torres took the VHC spot in Open Dog. Kerry handled Reina for Linda & Seth who yet again took another Crufts Lifetime Qualification placing with 3rd in Open Bitch. Wayne & Simon's Rafa son Hunter was placed 3rd in Junior Dog seeing him also qualify for 2013 Crufts.

After a terrible start we eventually made it to Scotland for SKC Champ show on the 21st. This was our newest male member of the teams first time out in the ring & Castiel (Lapema Angel De Cambios ) was placed VHC out of a very large class of 10! It was plain to see he was the baby of the bunch! Today Wayne & Simon's Hunter was placed 2nd in Junior Dog & 3rd in Yearling & Post Graduate Dog.
Lovely day was had by all at the AMCUK breed specific Open Show on the 26th. Our Castiel was placed in pole position winning the Minor Puppy Dog class & then placed 3rd in the Puppy Dog class with the 'bigger boys'!! Wayne & Simon's Rafa son Hunter won his Junior class & placed 3rd in Post Graduate also, thanks to our judge on the day Helen Burke.

On the 27th we travelled to Bath for their Champ show seeing some great results for Lapema & our extended family under judge Margaret Wildman. Our Cielo was placed 2nd in the Puppy Bitch class & her mother our Senna was also placed 2nd in her Post Graduate Bitch class seeing both Mummy & Baby on a par today! Kerry also handled Linda & Seth's Reina to be awarded Reserve in Open Bitch. Linda's boy Malmo was also placed VHC in Open Dog.
This month as always for us is the lull before the storm, the show season starts with avengence at the end of this month so time taken to recharge the batteries!!!

At Working & Pastoral Breeds of Wales Champ show on the 21st our own kids plus our extended family saw some very pleasing results under judge Dr. Boggia-Black. Our own Fabio wins his Junior class, Torres takes 3rd in Open Dog & Senna on her first time out in the show ring since last August takes the 3rd place spot in Limit Bitch. Kerry also handled Linda & Seths Reina as always to see her placed 2nd in Open Bitch, their other Lapema kid Malmo handled by Linda was placed 2nd in Open Dog. Wayne & Simon's Rafa boy Hunter was placed 2nd in Junior Dog & 1st in Post Graduate Dog.

A very exciting month for us here at Lapema as we saw our Torres' first two litters born!! The first was at Justami to Lou & Justen Corkhill's girl Gabi
& the second was to our own Fabio's mother Savana owned by Paul Knight. We are very keen to watch as this the next generation progress & grow.

WOW!!!! Lapema leave April with a bang! At WELKS Champ show on the 28th under Breed Specialist Judge Mrs Barbara Stanier (Artictreks) our Senna (Neskyla Star Sopra Lapema) sired by our very own Rafa wins her Limit class out of a huge entry of 16 dogs, this gained Senna her Stud Book Number qualifying her for CRUFTS for life! Senna went on to compete in the bitch challenge against all the class winners & won the BITCH CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE!!!!!!! All this at the age of 2years, just 5months after the birth of her first litter, only her second time out in over 8months - as you can imagine we are super proud of our young superstar! Also today our Torres was placed RES in Open Dog, Linda & Seths Reina handled as always by Kerry VHC in Open Bitch, Linda handled Malmo to be placed VHC in Open Dog. Snobruk kids sired by Rafa also had a fab day with seeing Jane's homebred Spirit placed 2nd in Junior Bitch Qualifying her for CRUFTS 2013 & Wayne & Simon's Hunter placed VHC in his Junior class & RES in Post Graduate. A Rafa grandchild 'Icewolf Devil May Cry' was the winner of the RESERVE DOG CC, this boy is also the nephew of our very own Torres. Such gratitude to judge Barbara Stanier.

CRUFTS - the biggest dog show in the world, was held on the 10th seeing Lapema & our extended family gaining some great results under Judge Breed Specialist Mr Roger Cruden (Shamsky Siberian Huskies) Our Rafa boys did us proud seeing Fabio placed 2nd in Special Junior, & Torres being shortlisted to the final 9 from a total entry of 19 dogs, the winner of this class took the RDCC a very quality class. Kerry handled a Rafa grand-daughter Ashra (Justami Million Dollar Baby) owned by Joan Mobbs & bred by Justen & Lou Corkhill in Yearling Bitch for the first time & Ashra won the class out of a huge entry of 16 seeing her qualify in style for Crufts 2013!! As always Kerry also handled Reina, Linda & Seth Jermans Rafa x Fibi daughter (Lapema Reina Una Stella) to be shortlisted to the final 8 in a very large Open Bitch class rammed packed with quality females with a large array of titles from across the globe! Reina was one of only two females from the UK to be shortlisted, the other female went on to win the class & BOB so Reina was in great company! Kerry will be campaigning Reina for the whole of 2012 alongside the rest of our show team! Wayne & Simons Hunter was placed VHC in Special Puppy Dog - great day had by all!

On the 17th we attended Potteries CS Open under Breed Specialist Mrs Debbie Prout. Our Rafa boys Fabio & Torres were placed nicely by taking 2nd place in both of their classes.

Kerry judged Otley CS Open on the 18th in Leeds. She had a fabulous entry again being highly supported by our fellow Malamute exhibitors seeing her Malamute entry at 17 dogs & her Siberian Husky entry as 8 dogs. A very high quality of Malamute was seen today giving her a tough job especially in the Graduate class. Top honours awarded BOB Izabela Nawrocka's BIS/HR/MNE Ch. Monikoona Casablanca who went on to win Working Group 2 under Breed Specialist Mrs Sue Smith (Zeezulak) RBOB Wayne Davey's & Simon Greenway's Snobruk Spirit Of Fire & BPIB John Phillips' Monikoona At First Sight who was placed Working Puppy Group 3.

On the 11th at NW &PBs Open show, Rafa sons had a great day. Our Fabio took pole position in Post Graduate Dog & his half brother Hunter owned by Wayne & Simon was placed 2nd in the same class. On the 18th at Maidenhead Open show, Wayne & Simon's Rafa son Hunter had a fabulous days showing. Firstly, Hunter not only won both his Junior & Post Graduate classes but topped it off by being awarded Best Of Breed under judge Patrick Galvin & was placed WORKING GROUP 2 in the adult group at just turned 13mths of age under judge Janet Forshaw.

At Cheltenham & District on the 19th again Rafa progeny saw some great results under Breed Specialist Georgina Aiston. Our own Fabio was placed 2nd in a strong Junior class just behind the male who took BOB today, Wayne & Simon's Hunter was placed Res in the same class & won Post Graduate & finally our own boy Torres won Open & took Reserve Best Of Breed.

On the 26th at Gloucester & District CS under judge Caroline Friend-Rees (Amical Siberian Huskies) our Rafa boy Fabio was the star of the day winning a strong Junior class & ultimately going on to be awarded BEST OF BREED!! This is Fabio's 2nd BOB at just 14months of age. Our Torres was also placed 3rd in Open.
At Boston Champ show on the 12th we saw our own Rafa & Torres take 3rd place in their classes. Fabio was awarded 2nd. Rafa son Hunter owned by Simon & Wayne was placed in pole position in the Junior class.

Kerry had her judging appointment on the 14th at Yeovil & District CS Open show. She was very pleased with her entry of 16, seeing her judge 11 on the day. Kerry found her BOB in Jean Smith's Kebuck Mystic Knight At Snowshoes, RBOB was Ange Anderson's girl Cherubini Midnight Wolf & BPIB Wayne Davey & Simon Greenway's Snobruk Spirit Of Fire.

On the 21st at Manchester Champ show our dogs & extended family yet again managed to gain some great placings under judge Dr James. Our Rafa son Fabio was placed 2nd in Junior Dog seeing him qualify very early on in the season for Crufts 2013.
