On the 27th we gained some lovely results at Stourbridge Open show. Voodoo wins Best AVNSC from her Junior class out of a very good entry of 12 & Rio was placed 2nd Open AVNSC thanks to judge Joe Smith (Mowgli) Ivy, handled by our friend Jill Cowper as the breeds clashed was placed a very respectable 3rd in her Junior Labrador class.

More great results for our team on the 28th at Ashbourne Open show. Rio wins Open & is then awarded BEST OF BREED under judge Kelly Hughes & over in the Labrador ring our young girls put in a sterling effort. Ivy is placed 2nd in her Post Graduate class & her sister Rosie wins her Junior class & is then awarded BEST OF BREED under judge Julian Barnes. 3 Best of Breeds in 2 days - we are super proud!!

On the 12th it was the final championship show of the year for us. Under all rounder judge Mr Rodney Oldham our Voodoo was placed RES in her Junior bitch class after deciding she hated the noise from the tannoy!!! Good to see no lasting damage as Voo much enjoyed play time at the venue with her new BFF 'Shadow' & strutting her stuff during show training today, we don't much like the NEC as exhibitors so perhaps some dogs feel the same! Linda & Seth Jerman's Lapema bred girl Reina had a fabulous end to her years showing seeing her win the Veteran Bitch class & her 4th Best Veteran In Breed of the year!!! Handled as always by Kerry.

On the 1st we showed our support to a local Open show, Coventry & Foleshill, with both the young Malamute & Labradors. Voodoo won her PG class & was awarded RESERVE BEST OF BREED under handling specialist Marina Scott. Both Ivy & Rosie were placed 2nd in their classes under judge G.Cove-Print. Nice local show to keep the kids paws in over the winter months.

Another local Open show for us on the 8th, this time Walsall & District. Fabulous day with both our breeds. Firstly, Voodoo wins her PG class & is then awarded BEST OF BREED under judge Mel Marchant. Then our Lab youngsters, both entered in the same Graduate class, Ivy wins the class & Rosie is placed 2nd handled by Mike, Ivy then goes on to be awarded BEST OF BREED under Gundog specialist David Alcorn.

The Nordic Spitz Breeds Speciality show was held locally for us on the 22nd with a Breed Specialist judge for the Malamutes. Voodoo wins her PG class & is then awarded another BEST OF BREED under judge Kimberley Jebson (Austmans).

On the 29th we exhibited just the one Malamute at Stroud & District Open show under Breed Specialist judge Deborah Prout (Kessaku) where our girl Rio was exhibited for the first time since April 2015 & after having her first litter in July. We were thrilled with how she took to the show ring again & not quite being match fit she won her Open class & took RESERVE BEST OF BREED out of a very nice entry of Mals.

On the 25th we attended Midland Counties Champ Show held at Stafford under judge Liz Cartledge. Our youngest member of the show team was placed in pole position in her very strong Junior Bitch class.

BREAKING NEWS FROM THE USA!!! We are thrilled to announce that our Lapema bred Labrador boy 'Cedric' who travelled to live in Missouri with his sister 'Breeze' to new owner Frankie Katuna, is now a UKC Champion at 14months old!! Frankie tells us that Cedric has done exceptionally well at the UKC shows held earlier this month & he picked up his achievements & wins required for this Championship title in just 3 days & 6 shows!!! Cedric is now officially known as ** Int Sr Ch / Nat Sr Ch / UKC Ch Lapema Flash Flood At KnK Farms ** (Sire - Sandylands Leaps And Bounds 'Andy' x Dam - Justami Monsoon Over Lapema 'Edna') We are very proud!

On the 1st we travelled to Wetherby for Driffield Champ show with the Malamutes. Our Castiel was placed RES in Open Dog & Voodoo won both her Junior Bitch & Yearling Bitch classes under judge Steve Hall.

On the 30th it was the turn for our young Labradors to have their day out at the Yellow Labrador Retriever Club Show held at Ryton On Dunsmore. Ivy was placed a very good 2nd in her Maiden class from an entry of 21 under judge breed specialist Richard Stafford (Farnfield)

At AMCUK champ show, Voodoo 2nd Junior Bitch, Castiel 3rd Open Dog, and the star of the day was Lapema Reina Una Stella 'Reina' wins her 4th reserve CC aged 8 years old out of Veteran class and then takes Best Veteran In Show!!!! Reina is owned by Linda & Seth Jerman bred by us at Lapema, handled by me, she is the last remaining progeny being shown from our foundation pair BVISS RBVISS BVIS Gwinner Lapema Star De Jungla Negra ShCM 'Rafa' (2 x CC 4 x RCC) x BVIS Gorkeane De Jungle Negra 'Fibi' (1 x CC 5 x RCC) . At City Of Birmingham champ show on the 3rd, Castiel & Voodoo were both placed RES in their classes. Kerry also handled Lapema bred girl Reina to be awarded Best Veteran In Breed. Judge Sue Pollock Yule

Richmond Champ show took place on the 12th seeing our baby girl Voodoo placed RES in her Junior bitch class under USA breed specialist judge Robin Hugg

We travelled to Darlington on the 19th under judge Jill Peak where our home bred team took some nice results, Castiel was placed RES in Open dog & Voodoo won a very nice Junior bitch class.

On the 27th Voodoo was awarded 1st Open & Best Of Breed at Monmouth Open show thanks to judge Dieter Sprung.

On the 29th we made the huge trek to Scotland for the second Scottish Kennel Club champ show of the year. Our judge, Keith Nathan, awarded our team handsomely, seeing Castiel gain a 3rd in an Open Dog class with numerous champions & our youngest member of the show team won her Junior Bitch class giving her the final point needed for her JUNIOR WARRANT!!!! Subject to KC Confirmation. This will give Voodoo a lifetimes Crufts qualification & her stud book number. Voodoo is only the 7th Alaskan Malamute female to gain this title we are enormously proud of her achievements.

The first show for this month takes us to Paignton on the 3rd where judge Marion Sargent placed our dogs very well seeing Castiel placed VHC in Open Dog, Cielo 2nd in Open Bitch & called to challenge for the RCC & Voodoo is placed 2nd in her 'bikini' in both her classes today.

On the 10th we travelled to Bournemouth under judge Mr E Engh, the weather was horrific & we all looked like drowned rats but still taking some good placings home with Castiel VHC Open Dog, Cielo RES Open Bitch & Voodoo is placed 2nd in her last ever puppy class & wins her Junior Bitch class.

Great day for our home bred kids at WKC on the 22nd under replacement judge Mr Jeff Luscott. Castiel takes 3rd place in a very strong Open Dog class, Voodoo wins her first 'official' Junior Bitch class & her dam, also Castiel's sister, Cielo was awarded 2nd in Open Bitch & the RESERVE BITCH CC!!! We are over the moon as this is Cielo's only 5th time out after a 2 year break from the show ring due to coat & her maternity leave!!!

At Leeds Champ show on the 26th under breed specialist judge Mr Keith Givens we took some nice placings with our show team. Castiel is placed VHC in Open Dog, Cielo is placed RES open Bitch & baby of the bunch Voodoo takes 1st place in Puppy Bitch & a 2nd in Junior Bitch.

Another Breed Specialist judge for us today at Windsor Champ show on the 3rd, this time Sharon Loades. Our team had some great results with our baby girl Voodoo being placed 2nd in Puppy Bitch & winning Junior Bitch. Voodoo's dam Cielo, after a 2year break from the show ring came back out enjoying herself & taking a very respectable VHC in Open Bitch. Kerry handled Reina for her owners to be placed 2nd in Veteran Dog/Bitch.

At Ludlow Open on the 5th where we saw fab results with both the Malamutes & Labradors. Firstly, our homebred Labrador Ivy was placed 2nd in Junior & BPIB under judge Harry Nelson. Ivy then went on to be placed WORKING PUPPY GROUP 2 under breed specialist judge Carole Coode. Then not wishing to be outdone by her travel buddy, our hombred Malamute Voodoo won not only her Junior class & BEST PUPPY IN BREED but also BEST OF BREED under judge Breed Specialist Deborah Prout (Kessaku) Voodoo then went on to be awarded WORKING PUPPY GROUP 1 & WORKING GROUP 2!! Thanks to group judge Roberta Wright.

WOW WOW WOW!!!!! We are overwhelmed with the results for our show team at NW&PBs Champ show on the 11th. Our homebred boy Castiel was placed pole position in his very strong Open Dog class, he was then awarded the DOG CC & ultimately BEST OF BREED!!! This is Castiel's 1st CC after his 3 RCC's that he has gained over the past year. His litter sister Cielo was placed 3rd in Open Bitch & her daughter Voodoo won her Puppy Bitch class & BOS Puppy - A real family affair today! Our gratitude to our judge on the day Sue Ellis (Chayo) Castiel was then shortlisted in the Working Group to the final 9 under judge Jeff Luscott.

Great news from the USA!! At the Internationals in June, Frankie Katuna exhibited her Lapema Labrador puppies, Cedric & Breeze, she imported last year, where both pups did fantastically and we are so proud to announce they are officially known as

* Int/Nat Sr Ch Lapema Sea Breeze At KnK Farms 'Breeze'
Huge congratulations to Frankie on this achievement & we look forward to following the babies show career across the pond!!

On the 13th we attended the Labrador Club Champ Show Cotswold & Wye with both Ivy & Rosie our homebred siblings under judge Andrew Brace. Today was Rosie's day to shine, at her first ever show she was placed VHC in her Maiden class!!

On the 21st we made the huge trek to Border Union Champ show held at Kelso, Scottish Borders were our Voodoo was placed 3rd in both her Puppy & Junior classes under judge Roger Cruden.

A rainy start for us on the 28th at Blackpool Champ show where judging seemed to go ahead with only slight showers. Our team had some good results today with Castiel being placed 3rd in Open Dog & Voodoo being placed 1st in Puppy Bitch & 2nd in Junior Bitch. Kerry also handled Reina to be placed VHC in Veteran bitch for her owners. Thanks to our judge on the day Breed Specialist Jo Sugden.

Lovely morning today at Three Counties Champ show with our home bred girl 8month old 'Ivy' Lapema Poison Ivy (Sh Ch Farnfield Top Gigio JW ShCM AI x Lapema Lest We Forget) where she was placed a very respectable 3rd in her final Minor Puppy Bitch class with the biggest class entry of the day I believe, with 22 entered! This will be Ivy's last time out for a while due to coat but we are thrilled with her results so far at 4 champ shows seeing her not only win BPIB & receive Crufts qualification first time out at champ show level but 2 further qualifiers & another place in the line up, made all the better by all being under breed specialist judges, Ivy sure has surpassed our expectations! Huge thanks to our friend Ed Casey for his superb handling of Ivy today she looked great xx Ivy looks forward to seeing you all later in the year!!

The team start off June with a bang at Three Counties Champ show on the 4th. Our baby Voodoo is placed 2nd in puppy bitch & wins her junior bitch class. Our star of the day was Castiel being placed 2nd in Open & being awarded the RESERVE DOG CC!!! Huge thanks to our judge on the day Robin Newhouse.

Fabulous day at Southern Counties champ show where judge Robin Searle awarded our home bred Voodoo pole position in both Puppy & Junior bitch classes & ultimately BEST PUPPY IN BREED!!! Voodoo later was placed WORKING PUPPY GROUP 4 in a very strong group of 12 under judge John Walton Haddon. Our own Castiel was placed 3rd in his Open Dog class.

Bath Champ show was held on the 23rd for our Labrador 'Ivy' where she was placed a very respectable RES in a large 15 strong Minor Puppy Bitch class under breed specialist Chris Mills (Lembas) Thrilled to also see the sire of our 'Ivy' & her sister 'Rosie' owned & bred by Richard Stafford, 'Gino' Sh Ch Farnfield Topo Gigio JW ShCM (AI) not only won the DCC & Best Of Breed but he also won the GUNDOG WORKING GROUP!! Huge Congratulations!

On the 17th at Coventry & District Open show our Mally girl 'Voodoo' won yet another AVNSC Puppy class as there were no bred classes available today, then goes on to be placed WORKING PUPPY GROUP 2 under judge Delia Sarson!

An amazing day on the 16th at Redditch & District Open show for both our Malamute & Labrador babies. Firstly, our Mally girl 'Voodoo' won her Junior class, Best Puppy In Breed & BEST OF BREED!!! It was the turn of our 'Ivy' Labrador to attend Birmingham National Champ show under breed specialist Erica Jayes (Sandylands) where she was placed a fabulous 2nd out of 24 entries.

Thrilled with our results on Working Day on the 7th with the Malamutes under breed specialist Liz Bruns at Birmingham National, where our baby 'Voodoo' wins her Minor Puppy bitch class.

On the 3rd we attended Banbury & District Open show with no breed classes for us, 'Voodoo' was exhibited in the Any Variety Puppy class where she was placed in pole position under judge Robin Searle.

On the 2nd we travelled to Weston for South West Working & Pastoral Breeds Open show where we exhibited 'Voodoo' under judge Joe Smith where she was awarded 1st in Junior, BEST PUPPY IN BREED & WORKING PUPPY GROUP 3.

On the 25th, a local show for us held at Malvern was WELKS Championship show where our team saw some good results. Our baby of the bunch 'Voodoo' was placed 2nd in both Minor Puppy Bitch & Puppy Bitch, seeing her qualify for Crufts 2016 at her very first qualifying show!!! Lapema bred Reina was also placed RES in Veteran Bitch. Thanks to judge Tan Negrecha.

A mile stone for Lapema on the 26th, seeing us showing a Labrador at a Champ show for the first time in almost 20years! Our homebred baby girl 'Ivy' made her debut with a bang at WELKS Champ Show winning her Minor Puppy Bitch Class out of a huge 29 entries, then going on to be awarded BEST PUPPY IN BREED at just 7 months old under breed specialist Angela Williams - huge thank you we are thrilled!!! 'Ivy' is now qualified for Crufts 2016 at her first qualifying show!!

At Bridgwater Open on the 22nd 'Rio' was awarded BEST OF BREED under breed judge Mandy Vearncombe & went on to be placed WORKING GROUP 3 under judge Les Strudwick. On her first ever show, our newest recruit, homebred Labrador girl 'Ivy' wins BEST PUPPY IN BREED under judge John Millward & then 3rd in the Minor Puppy Stakes under judge Robin Searle. We are overwhelmed by the success of our baby girl homebred 'Voodoo' at still just 6months of age, today at Sutton Coldfield CA under breed judge Chris Thomas (Nosferatu) wins Best AVNSC Puppy, Best AVNSC, WORKING GROUP 1, WORKING PUPPY GROUP 1 & BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!!!!! On the 14th it was the first show for our homebred girl Voodoo (Lapema Nino Vudu) who had an amazing day at her very first show!! Voodoo firstly wins Junior & BEST PUPPY IN BREED under breed specialist breed judge Julie Whyman (Tailfly), then she goes on to take WORKING PUPPY GROUP 1 under judge Leana Lewis (Graylea) & then amazingly shortlisted to the final 4 for BEST IN SHOW under judge Angie Hackett (Lindridge) we are over the moon with these results for a baby at just turned 6months old! Our lovely Rio also wins Open with some stiff competition.

We travelled with Rio to Matlock Open on the 15th who we are very pleased to say won Open and BEST OF BREED under breed specialist breed judge Jane Brook (Snobruk), Rio then goes on to be awarded WORKING GROUP 3 under judge Joe Smith (Mowgli).
